In Mallorca, every purchase of real estate is subject to additional purchase costs, such as the land transfer tax. This one is calculated progressively on the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, etc.), according to the purchase price of the property. Since 01.01.2016, the following tax rates of 8 to 11% apply (details in the article Real Estate transfer tax).
The further additional purchase acquisition costs are:
- Notary fees
- Fees for the entry in the land register
- Handling fees of a lawyer or Gestoria (administration office)
Calculate for your real estate purchase (without financing) between 11% and 13% of additional expenses.
