The popular holiday resort of Sa Coma is located on the east coast of the Balearic island of Mallorca in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Between the attractive fishing village of Porto Cristo and the holiday stronghold of Cala Millor, this rather small village makes all holidaymakers’ hearts beat faster.
Platja de Sa Coma
The sandy beach is between 800 and 900 meters long, and therefore one of the longest beaches on the east coast of Mallorca. Not only families with children appreciate it because of its cleanliness and shallow water. This year, the blue flag flew again at the “Platja de Sa Coma” because of its cleanliness, the good water quality and the service offers. At the edge of the beach there are large pine trees that provide shade on hot days. Water sports enthusiasts also get their money’s worth here on the beach. Whether snorkeling, diving, windsurfing or boat hire – there is plenty on offer at the beach.
Peninsula Punta de n’Amer
North of Sa Coma, at the end of the beach promenade, the nature reserve of the peninsula Punta de n’Amer directly adjoins the beach. Explore the surroundings here on foot, on horseback or by bike and visit the “Castell de la Punta de n’Amer”. This castle-like fortified tower was built in the seventeenth century. It is located on a hill and from the castle you can enjoy fascinating views over the sea and the landscape. Be enchanted by the colorful interplay of the azure sea, the light sand and the lively green of the surroundings.
Activities in Sa Coma
The safari park in Sa Coma offers a change from everyday life on the beach. Visitors can either drive through the park in their own car or take the park’s own safari train. A wide variety of wild animals in the open-air enclosures are waiting to be marveled at and discovered.
The “Paradis” mini-golf course is also a popular destination. It is located behind the “Safari Park” hotel and offers many opportunities for both adults and children. With its artificial waterfalls and exotic green spaces, this facility enchants young and old alike.
